By Air:
The nearest airport is Naples Capodichino, which is connected to the major International and Italian airports. Private transfer is provided, on request, from Naples airport to Sorrento.
By Train:
The national trains arrive at the upper level of Naples Central Station.
From the lowest level, you can catch the train (Circumvesuviana) to Sorrento. They depart every 30-40 minutes and the journey takes just over one hour. Private transfer is provided, on request, from Naples Central Station to Sorrento.
By Car:
From Milan - Rome:
- Take the A1 motorway towards Naples.
- After 200 km, join the A3 Salerno-Reggio Calabria motorway.
- Keep driving for 23 km.
- Leave the motorway at Castellammare di Stabia.
- Turn left towards Sorrento on the SS145 (Sorrento-Penisola Sorrentina).
- Along the road you drive through three tunnels; after the third one, keep driving for 12 km.
- In Sorrento, follow the signs to Piazza Tasso, then take Via Correale; you will find Europa Palace on your left-hand side.
From Naples:
- Take the A3 Salerno-Reggio Calabria motorway.
- After 30 km leave the motorway at Castellammare di Stabia.
- Then, as above.
Area information
This small city in Campania, famed for its sea cliffs, boasts steep slopes that look out over azure waters to Ischia, Capri and the Bay of Naples. The birthplace of Limoncello liqueur, the town offers good diving opportunities, great sea fishing, boat cruises and appetizing restaurants.
