Our name's hotel is Hotel Porta Nuova, like the mediaeval gate for the entrance in the heart of Assisi (Italy), from which we are only 30 meters far. Italy has a Green Heart; its name is Umbria, a land of ancient customs, mystery, nature, tranquility, and order. Here you will find an abundance of art, natural beauty, spring water, rivers and lakes, museums, theatres, archives and libraries, churches and breathtaking monuments. Built at the beginning of xx century with the typical pink Assisi's stones, the Hotel Porta Nuova, was originally a big private house. In 1988 has been renovated into a hotel. The Hotel is excellently located in strategic central position in Umbria (in less than two hours you can reach all the boundaries of the region).

The hotel has 25 rooms (17 doubles, 5 triples, 2 quadruples and 1 single) recently renewed, all endowed with: double windows, private bathroom, hair-dryer, shower, satellite TV color, direct telephone, air conditioning. Several rooms look to the south: over open spaces and the wonderful cultivated landscape of the Umbrian Valley.

Travel information
From North: A1 direction south, take exit Sinalunga-Bettolle; take SS75bis direcction south, after Perugia change its name in SS75 direction Assisi-Spoleto; take exit Assisi-Santa Maria degli Angeli Nord.
From South: A1 direction north, take exit Orte, take the connection road between Orte and Terni, after ca 20km take the E45 direction to Todi-Perugia. In Ponte San Giovanni take the SS75 direction Assisi-Spoleto, take the exit Assisi-Santa Maria degli Angeli nord.
From SS75 Exit Santa Maria degli Angeli nord - Assisi: drive through Santa Maria d. Angeli and then up the hill in direction Assisi Parking area "PORTA NUOVA".From the parking drive straight on up the hill, at the ring turn on the left, than on the right here we are!
