Residenza d'Epoca Il Casato This charming 14th century building provides the perfect affordable base for your stay in Medieval Siena.

Centrally located near the Palazzo Bardi, the hotel is famous for its Sopraintendenza alle Belle Arti, its architecture and its internal decorations on the ceiling. It is also famous for its 18th century pavement inlaid in marble with rose ornaments in the central hall.

The hotel is set on two floors. It does not offer a lift but staff will provide to the luggage service.

All rooms are carefully furnished and equipped with all comforts. The rooms number 1, 7, 8 and 9 have a terrace overlooking our beautiful Italian-style garden.

Smoking rooms are equipped with a small private terrace.

Travel information

By Car:
-Exit the highway at Siena Sud towards Porta Tufi.
-From here, follow the main stret (Via Mattioli) until you reach the arch of S.Pietro.
-Go straight for 20 metres, then turn right into Via Casato di Sopra until Piazza del Campo.
-Then turn left into Via Dupre.

Please note that the hotel is located in a pedestrian area. Guests can give their number plate to reception to get a temporary permit (at no extra cost) to load and unload the car.

By Train:
From the train station you can reach the hotel by cab or by bus line 3.

By Bus:
Take line 3 and get of at Piazza S.Agostino. Walk towards Piazza del Campo. Walk down Via S.Agata until Via Dupre.
